Fuel up with breakfast, then set out for the Great Pyramids of Giza, which include the only remaining Ancient Wonder of the World, or as known as The Great Pyramid of Khufu, along with admiring the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Also, you’ll see the magnificent Sphinx up close and visit the sacred Valley Temple, where some of the Egyptian Pharaohs were buried. Starting with breakfast, we set out for the Egyptian Museum to view the ancient monuments and artifacts. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, before the enchantment begins at Old Coptic Cairo’s Hanging Church, dating back to the 3rd Century AD. It seems suspended or hanging as it was built on top of the Roman-era Babylon Fortress's water gate. It is such a sight!
Then off to a relaxing stroll through the historic and beautiful Khan el Khalili.
Day 4 Luxor Stop
Upon your arrival, you’ll immerse yourself in one of the world’s greatest and oldest temples, the Karnak Temple, and you’ll be amazed by the Luxor Temple, which was constructed by great pharaohs such as Amenhotep III, Tutankhamun, Horemheb, and Rameses II.
Note that Breakfast is included in the day.
Day 5 Luxor Stop 2.0
After breakfast, you’ll get the chance to admire the magnificent Valley of the Kings, where the rulers of the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties of Egypt’s prosperous New Kingdom (c.1550–1069 BC) were buried. Then over to Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple to witness her greatness in life and trade, and gaze at the Colossi of Memnon, the two enormous statues of the 18th Dynasty of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Ending the night in your relaxing hotel in Luxor.
Day 6 Luxor’s last stop
Starting the day with breakfast, then various stops to the Edfu Temple, built as a dedication to the ancient Egyptian God Horus, passing by the Kom Ombo Temple, which is a unique double temple dedicated to two deities: the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Har wer (Horus the Elder).Ending the night in your relaxing hotel in Aswan.
Day 7 Aswan Stop
After breakfast, you’ll get to admire the architectural beauty of the High Dam and explore the Unfinished Obelisk, which was intended to be the biggest ever. Then discover the beauty of the island-based temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, the Temple of Philae.
Day 8 Aswan & Cairo Stops
The historical journey comes to another stop at King Ramses the Second’s great creations: Abu Simbel Template, the Great Temple, built in memory of himself, and the small temple he built for his wife, the queen Nefertari, along with the Four Colossi. These are as unique as can be, a testimony of power and love for generations to come. Ending the night in your relaxing hotel in Cairo.
Note that Breakfast is included in the day.
Day 9 Cairo or Alexandria stop?
You get to choose whether to explore Alexandria’s Catacomb of Kom el-Shokafa, a unique 2nd-century A.D. tomb complex. And Pompey's Pillar, a towering monument from 297 A.D., enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant before discovering the Citadel of Qitbay, built in 1480 and rumored to be constructed from stones of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, or head back to Charismatic Cairo. Whatever you choose, you’re surrounded by the rich Egyptian history. End the day with a trip to Cairo!
