Overview
A Port Ghalib snorkeling excursion is one of the most exciting marine adventures available in Marsa Alam and offers visitors the opportunity to explore some of the Red Sea’s most spectacular underwater environments. Famous for its colorful coral reefs, crystal-clear waters, and rich marine biodiversity, the Marsa Alam coastline is considered one of the world’s top destinations for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
This unforgettable sea journey begins at the modern marina of Port Ghalib, one of the most beautiful waterfront destinations on the Red Sea coast. Port Ghalib is known for its luxury marina, relaxed atmosphere, and easy access to some of Egypt’s most pristine marine reserves and snorkeling locations.
The Marsa Alam snorkeling trips takes visitors to two of the region’s most famous snorkeling destinations: Marsa El Shone and Marsa Mubarak. These protected areas are internationally recognized for their healthy coral ecosystems, calm lagoons, and incredible variety of marine species.
One of the highlights of the Port Ghalib snorkeling experience is Marsa El Shone, a beautiful snorkeling site featuring colorful coral formations and schools of tropical fish. The calm and clear waters make this location suitable for both beginners and experienced snorkelers.
The Red Sea is home to one of the world’s most diverse marine ecosystems, containing hundreds of coral species and thousands of marine animals. Snorkelers can observe butterfly fish, angelfish, parrotfish, lionfish, and many other fascinating creatures while exploring the underwater reefs.
The second major stop during the snorkeling Port Ghalib excursion is Marsa Mubarak, one of the most famous snorkeling and diving sites in the Marsa Alam region. This protected bay is known for its exceptional underwater landscapes, shallow coral gardens, sandy lagoons, and rich marine biodiversity.
Marsa Mubarak is especially famous for its population of sea turtles and occasional sightings of the endangered dugong, also known as the “sea cow.” Dugongs are gentle marine mammals that feed on seagrass beds in protected bays and are considered one of the rarest marine animals in the Red Sea.
Swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Marsa Mubarak offers visitors an extraordinary opportunity to observe marine life in its natural habitat while enjoying warm water temperatures and excellent visibility throughout the year.
The Port Ghalib snorkeling experience is suitable for families, couples, solo travelers, and nature lovers who want to experience the peaceful beauty of the underwater world without needing advanced diving certification.
In addition to snorkeling, guests can relax on board the boat, enjoy panoramic views of the Red Sea coastline, and savor a delicious freshly prepared lunch while sailing between snorkeling locations.
A zodiac speed boat is also used during the excursion to reach beautiful lagoon areas and provide guests with even more opportunities to discover hidden snorkeling spots and untouched coral gardens.
