Itinerary

4 Days - Aswan / Luxor
Exploring Aswan - Start Your Luxor Aswan Cruise
  • Morning Program: Upon your arrival in Aswan, you’ll be transported to your ship to begin your history and water immersion! Your Luxor Aswan cruise adventure starts at the edge of the desert, where you will check into your elegant suite. Aswan is legendary for its unique geography and the beautiful granite boulders of the First Cataract.

  • Afternoon Program: Relax and enjoy the view of the feluccas sailing by! Lunch is served on board the Movenpick Royal Lotus Nile Cruise, providing a peaceful moment to enjoy the river breeze. This is the ideal time to explore the ship’s sun deck or enjoy a refreshing drink as you prepare for your evening tours.

  • Evening Program: It’s time for Aswan exploration, beginning with a panoramic view of the High Dam, a 20th-century masterpiece. You will then visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which offers a rare look at ancient stonemasons' techniques, and finish at the Philae Temple. This temple, dedicated to Isis, was painstakingly relocated from a submerged island to its current home. Return to your Luxor Aswan cruise for dinner before docking overnight.
The Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu
  • Morning Program: A good day begins with a good breakfast, then sailing to Kom Ombo! This segment of your Luxor Aswan cruise showcases the lush agricultural heart of Upper Egypt. The Nile cruise glides gracefully through the water, offering a serene morning of birdwatching and relaxation.

  • Afternoon Program: The immersion resumes with a visit to Kom Ombo, a unique double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon god. It features ancient medical reliefs that were ahead of their time. Afterward, continue sailing to Edfu while enjoying lunch with a panoramic view of the changing Nile scenery.

  • Evening Program: Admiring what’s considered the most complete and best-preserved ancient Egyptian temple, the Horus Temple in Edfu, is next. Built by the Ptolemies, it remains virtually intact, from the massive pylons to the dark inner sanctuary. Enjoy a gourmet dinner on your Luxor Aswan cruise before docking overnight in the quiet river countryside.
Crossing the Esna Lock and East Bank Grandeur
  • Morning Program: Commence the journey with breakfast, then sail to the Esna Lock! Watching the Luxor Aswan cruise navigate the water levels of the lock is a technical highlight for many travelers. This transition marks the final leg of your Luxor Aswan cruise as we head into the "City of a Hundred Gates."

  • Afternoon Program: Relax and enjoy the view from the deck during your Luxor Aswan cruise! Lunch is served on board as we approach the legendary East Bank of Luxor. The ship offers a luxurious environment to recharge before we step out to witness some of the most impressive religious monuments in the ancient world.

  • Evening Program: Visit Luxor’s astonishing temples, the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, built by pharaonic masterminds to showcase their divine power. Karnak is the largest religious complex ever constructed, while Luxor Temple is uniquely known for its central role in the Opet festival. Return to your vessel for dinner before docking overnight in Luxor during your Luxor Aswan cruise.
West Bank Treasures - End of Luxor Aswan Cruise
  • Morning Program: Enjoy your last breakfast on the Nile during your Luxor Aswan cruise, and head to the West Bank of Luxor. Here, beautiful history was made at the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. These sites represent the peak of New Kingdom funerary art. Though your Luxor Aswan cruise ends today, the memories will stay with you forever as you head to the airport.
